DIY Bubbling Sugar Scrub Easy Recipe
I am coming to you with another easy recipe. I have been into health lately and skin care is up there on the priorities list. Now that I am getting older, I have been noticing that my skin is much drier. I have to use a lot more lotion that before!
I decided to try something new and see if it would work for me. I love sugar and salt scrubs, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try and make my own.
Usually, I buy the ones that are oil-based and that can sometimes leave my skin feeling very greasy for a little while. This time I wanted something that I could wash off and still feel smooth without the greasiness.
So, I grabbed a few things. Raw cane sugar, Coconut oil, and my favorite body wash.
I chose these ingredients because I love them all equally, and I know that there is a health benefit within this concoction.
The steps to make this are so easy and simple. I began by filling my container Raw Cane Sugar. This was about 3 tablespoons. The container I chose is very small and can hold maybe 6 tablespoons of anything at once. I then added few drops of coconut oil. I did not want this to be greasy at all so I only did a little. Next, I added in my favorite body wash. This body wash is by shea moisture and it has lemon and orange as its main ingredients. I would say that it was maybe 2-3 teaspoons of soap added. I mixed it all together and wanted to make sure that the sugar was not completely soaked, but covered. Voila! It was all done and perfect.
I gave it a try and got the exact results that I wanted. Smooth and soft skin without the greasy build-up. It smelled great and washed off my hands easily. The best part is that the soap gave this scrub a great lather and the sugar exfoliated my dry skin.
Be sure to store this in a container with a lid to prevent it from drying out.
I will continue to use this on a frequent basis. I am even considering giving this out as gifts to friends and family.
Hopefully, you can make this too and share it with your loved ones.
